Straight from the '80s!

A Roland TR-505, '86 Fender P-Bass, '65 Fender Stratocaster, Ovation acoustic, Shure SM-57, and a Yamaha SPX-90. I programmed the drums, and recorded them along with the bass to one track. One track had the lead vocal, recorded with reverb. Another track had acoustic guitar, which I bounced while recording electric rhythm and bounced again recording electric lead. The last track had the harmony vocal.

I mixed it, doubling the guitar track and delaying it so I could pan one left and one right to have some kind of stereo (monitoring in mono so I assured compatibility after these tricks). I mastered it in SONAR X3 using mostly UAD Precision Equilizer and Precision Limiter (there was a lot of midrange buildup and ringing from all the bouncing).
